Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation is setting up a rehabilitation & upgradation project at Katni-Umaria section of NH-78, in MP. The project involves the upgradation of Katni-Umaria section from 0.000 Km to 7.950 Km (Katni bypass) and from 4.6 Km to 68.4 Km (Package-I) to two-lane with paved shoulder with provision of rigid pavement. As of February 2015, bids has invited for the implementation of this project on EPC mode, at a cost of Rs. 2480 Million
