Purulia Metal Casting is setting up an expansion project at its existing steel plant, Bongabari, Purulia. The project involves the installation of 59400 TPA MS ingots by adding 1x 15 T induction furnaces in the unit, and sponge iron, pig iron,steel scrap & alloys are the additional raw materials required for the expansion. As of March 2015, company is awaiting environment and pollution clearance, and Environ India is the consultant for the proposed project.
