'Assam Petro-chemicals is planning to set up a sulphonated formaldehyde manufacturing plant at Goalpara district in Assam. The product sulphonated formaldehyde is a chemical used as additive with cement for bringing down the cement requirement for civil constructions. As of July 2013, the company has already identified 200 acres of land for the project and has begun the process of acquisition.
