THDC India is setting up a hydro power project in Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. As of March 2014, bids have been invited for for balance civil works mainly comprising finishing works of power house, slope stabilization of left abutment, river dredging, concrete in walls and tunnel, construction of 7.5 M D-shaped tunnel of about 40 mtr length, diversion tunnel plugging operation through drilling of 300 mm dia bore holes upto 90 mtr depth, grouting of dry aggregate plug inside diversion tunnel through 90 mtr deep holes, drilling of drainage holes, and curtain grouting through deep drill holes of 90 mtr depth etc.
