Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission is planning to take up establishment of 400 / 220 kV substation at Alkud, in Sangali district, and 400 kV line bays at 400 kV Jejuri substation in Pune district of the state. As of June 2014, the state PSU has invited bids for design, engineering, supply, erection, testing and commissioning including civil works for establishment of substation, reactor and bays.
